Our Referral Network
In short
Good coaching includes knowing who to send you to. When something falls outside fitness, an injury, a diagnosis, medical nutrition, we point you to trusted physiotherapists, doctors and other professionals, and happily work alongside them. A trainer with a referral network is a safer trainer.
No single professional can meet every health need, and any trainer who claims to is one to avoid. Real expertise includes knowing the edge of your own competence and having good people to hand off to when you reach it. Over 13 years we have built relationships with clinicians we trust, precisely so you are never stuck.
This matters more than it sounds. The moment a training issue turns into a medical one, a pain that will not settle, a condition that needs managing, a nutrition problem beyond general advice, you want a coach who says "you need a physio, and here is a good one," not one who guesses and hopes. Our network is part of keeping you safe.
Who we refer you to
- Physiotherapists for injuries, pain and rehab
- GPs and specialists for diagnosis and medical clearance
- Dietitians for medical or clinical nutrition needs
- Other allied professionals when your situation calls for it
When a referral makes sense
If screening or a session turns up something outside our scope, undiagnosed pain, a red-flag symptom, a condition that needs clinical management, or a nutrition issue beyond sensible general habits, we will tell you plainly and point you toward the right professional first.
Referral is not us washing our hands of you. In most cases we keep coaching what is safe while you get the specific issue looked at, then adjust the plan around whatever advice you come back with.
Working alongside your clinicians
When you are seeing a physio or doctor, we are happy to work as part of your team. With your permission, we can take account of their restrictions and advice so your training supports their treatment instead of undermining it. Coaching and clinical care work best in the same direction, not in competition.
Why a referral network protects you
A trainer without one is tempted to overreach, to "treat" the injury or "manage" the condition themselves, because sending you away feels like losing a client. That is how people get hurt. A trainer who refers freely has your safety above their ego, and that is exactly the kind of coach you want on your side.
