What the First Assessment Costs and Covers

In short

The first assessment is charged at a low rate and is often credited into your first block if you continue. It covers a movement screen, a chat about your history and goals, and a clear starting plan. It exists so training is built on facts about your body, not guesswork, with no obligation to sign on.

Everything good starts with the assessment, which is why we do not skip it or hide its cost. It is charged at a deliberately low rate, and if you go on to book a block we usually credit it in, so it effectively costs little for those who continue. Even if you do not continue, you leave with real insight into your body and a plan you can use, it is never wasted money.

The assessment is not a sales meeting dressed up as a screening. It is genuine information-gathering: how you move, what your history includes, what your goal really is, and what a safe, effective starting point looks like. Without it, any plan is guesswork. With it, your very first session is already tailored to you. And there is zero obligation to book anything afterwards.

What the assessment includes

  • A movement screen to see how your body works now
  • A chat about your history, injuries and lifestyle
  • Clarifying your real goal and a realistic timeline
  • A clear recommendation for where and how to start

Why it is charged low and often credited

We keep the assessment affordable so cost is never a barrier to starting properly. If you continue with a block, we typically credit the assessment fee into it, so committed clients effectively get it for very little. It is priced to be accessible, not to be a profit centre, its job is to make your training work.

Why we will not skip it

Starting training without an assessment is like a tailor sewing without measurements. We would be guessing at your level, ignoring an old injury we did not know about, or pushing too hard or too soft. The assessment is what makes your first real session safe and specific. Any trainer who skips straight to selling sessions is cutting a corner that matters.

What happens at your assessment

  1. We talk through your goals, history and any concerns
  2. We screen a few basic movements to see where you are
  3. We flag anything that needs medical clearance first
  4. We recommend a starting point, frequency and setting
  5. You decide on next steps, with no obligation to book

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the assessment free?+

It is charged at a low rate rather than free, because it is real professional time and a genuine plan. If you continue with a block, we usually credit the fee into it, so committed clients effectively pay very little for it.

Am I obliged to buy sessions after the assessment?+

Not at all. Many people do an assessment to get insight and a plan, then decide. There is no obligation to continue, and no pressure. You leave with something useful either way.

Why can't we just skip to training?+

Because a plan without an assessment is guesswork. The screen tells us your level, flags any limitation, and makes your first session safe and specific. Skipping it risks wasted effort or injury, which costs far more than the small assessment fee.

What if the assessment finds a problem?+

If something needs a doctor or physio first, we tell you plainly and point you there before we train. We coach fitness, not medicine. Finding that early is exactly why the assessment is worth doing.

Beginner Starter Package

Our beginner starter package is a small, sensible block, an assessment plus around eight to ten sessions, designed to teach safe technique and build a habit. It is priced honestly with a per-session rate below single bookings, and kept deliberately small so you can prove it works before committing more.

Budgeting for Training

Budget for training by first deciding a monthly amount you can comfortably sustain, then choosing the format that fits it, frequency, location and block size. A smaller plan you keep for months beats an ambitious one you quit. We help you build a plan around your budget, not the other way round.

Cheap vs Quality

Cheap training can mean shared attention, template plans, or inexperienced trainers, but it is not always bad for simple needs. Quality costs more and buys experience, real assessment and adaptation. The honest question is whether the cheaper option meets your actual needs, sometimes it does, often it does not.

Condo Gym Pricing

Condo-gym training is priced like a home visit, RM180-RM350, since travel is the main cost driver. The upside is equipment: you use the gym you already pay maintenance for, so no kit to buy. We assess what your facility has and build the plan around it.

Prices

Corporate Package

Our corporate package brings training to your office or nearby condo gym for small groups of staff. Pricing is per session and scales with group size, so cost per head drops as more join. It suits companies wanting a genuine wellness benefit rather than a token perk, with clear, no-surprise quotes.

Prices

Cost Per Result

Price per session is a misleading number. What matters is cost per result: what you actually pay per kilo of fat lost, per movement learned, or per injury avoided. A cheap session that produces nothing is expensive per result; a pricier one that works can be the better deal.
